General Information

Who is eligible to apply for the program?

Emirati students enrolled or intending to enroll in the Emergency Medicine specialty (Diploma or Bachelor’s degree) at accredited educational institutions, including the Higher Colleges of Technology and Fatima College of Health Sciences.

Is the program limited to Emirati nationals only?
Yes. The program is exclusively available to Emirati students holding a valid Family Book, in line with Emiratisation policies in the healthcare sector.
Does the program guarantee employment after graduation?
Employment is subject to organizational needs and the successful completion of graduation and professional licensing requirements.

Admission Registration

Is a personal interview required?

Yes. Applicants must attend a personal interview to assess suitability for the specialty.

Is there a minimum GPA requirement?
This depends on the admission criteria of the educational institution and the Corporation’s policies.

Sponsorship Benefits

Is the student required to work for the Corporation after graduation?

Yes. Graduates are required to work for the Corporation for a period specified in the sponsorship contract.

Academic Monitoring

What happens if academic performance declines?

Actions will be taken in accordance with program regulations, which may include warnings or suspension of sponsorship.

Withdrawal Termination

What happens if the student breaches the contract terms?

The sponsorship may be terminated, and legal action may be taken in accordance with the contract.

Is repayment required if the student withdraws?

Repayment obligations, if any, are determined based on the signed contract terms.

After Graduation

Are professional examinations required?

Yes. Graduates must pass professional examinations as required by the Corporation and relevant health authorities.

What are the job grades?

Grade 11 – Bachelor’s degree graduates

Grade 10 – Diploma graduates

Is there a defined career progression path?

Yes. The career progression is as follows:

Advanced Emergency Medical Technician → Paramedic → Specialized Paramedic → Advanced Paramedic
