Gulf Arabic is hereby defined as the dialect of Arabic inhabitant to the Arab nationals of the Persian Gulf countries, like the United Arab Emirates (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, etc.), Bahrain ,Kuwait, Qatar , Saudi Arabia, most of Oman and to a lesser amount Iraq. This dialect is not a written but a spoken, informal language. Literary Arabic, also called Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) which is used in the press, on radio, TV, etc. and in governmental official proceedings, however, is not spoken colloquially by Gulf Arabs.
